Children

Our Children’s ministries have a variety of activities to offer the children of the church and the wider Reidland community.  The focus of the ministry is to teach children to love Jesus while delving deep into the Bible and also contemporary issues.

Sunday Morning

Children’s Sunday School

This weekly Sunday School for K – 5 meets on the second floor of the church Sunday morning from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.

Children’s Church

Come to the Sanctuary for our 10:45 Blended Service and join the congregation in our announcements, Affirmation of Faith and opening prayers.  Then our Music Minister Chris Thornton shares a moment with the elementary aged children at the steps to the altar after which they go out of the Sanctuary for a  Children’s lesson with our Children’s Church teachers.

Nursery

Nursery Care is available during both services and Sunday School for infants and toddlers beginning at 8:00 AM.  Children 4 years of age to 3rd grade are invited to attend Children’s Church immediately following the children’s message in the 10:45 Traditional Service.

Cub Scouts
Pack 2018

Cub Scout Pack 2018 is chartered by the Reidland United Methodist Church and is part of the Four Rivers district of the Lincoln Heritage council of the Boy Scouts of America. They meet the first three Tuesdays of every month at the Reidland United Methodist Church located at 5515 Reidland Rd, Paducah, KY 42003 from 7PM CST to 8PM CST.

They have a great program for boys in first through fifth grade. Most of our scouts attend Farley, Reidland, or Symsonia elementary, but we welcome any boys in the area who are interested in Cub Scouting. Our Pack currently has about 60 scouts.

Cub Scouting is a family-oriented program that instills values such as citizenship, teamwork, honesty, respect, responsibility, and fitness, while being a lot of fun

The philosophy of Pack 2018 is that scouting should be FUN with a purpose. We want the boys to have a great time, while teaching them something along the way. We also believe that an important part of scouting is giving back to the community, through community service projects.
